Embodied Antiracism Practice Groups

Are you a white bodied person with interest in how we might learn to embody something different than our white patterns and conditioning? Want a group to practice with? In collaboration with New City Church in South Minneapolis, Rachel Svanoe Moynihan from our staff is co-leading our next embodied antiracism practice group, strongly influenced by Resmaa Menakem’s work around racialized trauma. This is an opportunity for white members of our community to come together to become more familiar with the white patterning that we embody, grow our capacity to be with the grief and shame of our people’s history and present, and develop relationships and practices that can help us move through stuck patterns and shift towards greater alignment with our deeply held values. The cohort kicks off with a day-long intro session on Saturday, October 7th from 10-4:30pm (quite soon!), and then meets on the following eight Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 - and we still have a few spots open! Questions? Reach out to Rachel at rachel.sm@clne-mn.org. Note: If these dates aren't a fit for you, but you'd be interested in joining a future group, you can let Rachel know that, too.
