Walk for Peace and Justice! Saturday September 30th

We hope you can join us!

From Friends for a NonViolent World:

Many of our communities have been traumatized in recent years from the violence and injustices present in their everyday lives. This is not the world we want to live in and it is up to those of us who deplore this state of affairs to stand up and demonstrate our commitment to build a better world, where all are treated with dignity and respect.

As a show of support for those survivors of violence and injustice, we call upon you to come together to walk for Peace and Justice on September 30 and congregate at the Lake St./Marshall Ave bridge as the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul meet to commit to work to resist all forms of violence.

We will have refreshments and music and all walkers will meet at the Lake Street/Marshall Ave. bridge for a ceremony to commit to peace and justice. We have invited the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul and the governor to be present to make this commitment. Following this, there is food, speakers and music at the Danish American Center for all walkers, hosted by Vote Climate.
